Introduction to Indigenous Lands and Issues in Canada: Virtual SHUC Discussions

An invitation to you to participate in a 4-session monthly webinar with follow-up SHUC discussions

WHAT: The Sandy Saulteaux Centre, a UCC educational centre, is providing a once-a-month webinar on Indigenous Lands and Issues in Canada hosted by Adrian Jacobs and led by nationally acclaimed First Nations Elders – Terry Leblanc; Stan McKay; Ray Jones; Grafton Antone; John Snow, Jr.

WHEN:

1) WEBINARS: March 20 – June 19 2021. While the webinars are broadcast at 7am PDT/PST, they are available for viewing one week after that. The first webinar happened on February 20, so there are 4 left in the 5-part series; all are absolutely worthwhile.

2) SHUC DISCUSSIONS: these will be held approximately 2-3 weeks after the webinars:

SESSION 2: March 20 – 1492 Land Back Lane Land Conflict – SHUC Discussion: April 10: 11:00am
SESSION 3: April 17 – Indigenous Child Welfare – SHUC Discussion: May 1: 11:00am
SESSION 4: May 15 – Indigenous People and Resource Development – SHUC Discussion: May 29: 11:00am
SESSION 5: June 19 – Traditional Lands and Environmental Protection – SHUC Discussion: July 10: 11:00am
